As adults we aim to take time for ourselves for self care, detoxification and rejuvenation so why shouldn’t our little ones? Of course they don’t need nearly as much but starting rituals early I believe is key to helping them learn more about their bodies and what supportive tools make them feel good. I want my kids to know that it’s safe to feel good and it’s safe to not just survive, but to thrive.
This is a bath recipe we use 1x week for our toddler.
The essential oils (from doTERRA) are rejuvenating, grounding, cleansing and detoxifying to the cells. The epsom salts and baking soda helps pull out impurities and magnesium is an essential mineral for helping the body to calm and soothe. Try it and let me know what you think!
1/2 cup epsom salts
sprinkle of baking soda (we keep b.soda in a mason jar in our bathroom)
1 drop doTERRA cedarwood essential oil
2 drops doTERRA lavender essential oil
1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
Add the essential oil drops to a small bowl that you keep stocked in your bathroom cupboard. Add 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil and mix, then add to bath water along with the other ingredients.
Occasionally switch it up and instead of using epsom salts, add magnesium powder right to the bath or add into their water cup or bottle.
