The DIY Essential Oil Cleaning Recipe I use Daily (And for Most Things Around the Home)

Ok friends. I have a confession. I quite simply don’t have time for recipes that stress me out or anything that is more than what appears simple when it comes to DIY.

And so here it is, my DIY all purpose spray.

I have used this recipe for years. I truly don’t believe removing toxins from our home needs to be hard.

Simple can be so powerful. I refill my glass bottle each week, using the oils I’m drawn to.

Ingredients:

¼ cup white vinegar

2 cups water

30 drops doTERRA essential oils

Recommended essential oil combinations:

  • 15 drops each of Lavender and Lemon and optional Rosemary

  • 10 drops each of EucalyptusPeppermint and Wild Orange

  • 30 drops doTERRA On Guard®

  • 20 drops doTERRA Purify

  • Play with your own fun recipe. Citrus oils are great because they contain a constituent known as Limonene which naturally disinfects surfaces. Tea Tree oil (doTERRA’s is called Melaleuca) is also lovely as it’s antibacterial. Whip something up mama and have fun doing it!

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to 16 ounce spray bottle. Or repurpose a bottle you already have. Make sure you use glass not plastic.

  2. Shake thoroughly. Spritz on surfaces, tubs, glass, kitchen counters, bathrooms and wipe clean. You can use on everything, I’m not kidding.
